“The action technically worked, but the user receives no confirmation and has no obvious next step.”
Functional app reviews for solo founders and independent builders
I find the friction before your users do.
I personally review your onboarding and core user workflows to uncover unclear interactions, functional inconsistencies and moments of hesitation. You receive a recorded walkthrough, annotated findings and a prioritized action plan.

When fresh eyes are most useful
You have built the app. Now you need an independent perspective.
Preparing an MVP for launch
You want the first-time path to feel understandable before inviting real users.
Building quickly with no-code or AI
The product works, but fast assembly can leave small states and transitions unresolved.
Too close to see what is unclear
You know the intended path so well that you automatically fill in the gaps.
Deciding what to build next
You need an independent view of what deserves attention before adding more.
Fresh Eyes helps you identify the friction that is difficult to see when you already know how the product is supposed to work.
Two lenses, one practical decision
I review your product from both sides.
From the user’s first impression to the builder’s implementation reality.
User & business lens
- Is the product’s value immediately understandable?
- Does the user know what to do next?
- Does the workflow match the user’s intended goal?
- Where does confidence decrease?
- Which problems could affect activation or completion?
Product & quality lens
- Does the workflow behave consistently from start to finish?
- Are loading, success, validation and error states understandable?
- Are actions properly confirmed?
- Can the user recover after a mistake?
- Which issues deserve priority before release?
Practical recommendations that users can feel and builders can ship.

Product, Functional Testing & Quality
About Dorian
I have worked on both sides of digital products.
I have helped define what should be built, tested whether it worked as expected, supported software delivery and analysed problems when users encountered them.
My background combines product ownership, functional testing, quality, digital project delivery and e-commerce. It allows me to review an application from both the user’s perspective and the team’s implementation reality.
E-commerce & customer journeys
Understanding confidence, friction and the decisions that shape completion.
Digital project delivery
Connecting product decisions to implementation constraints and real delivery work.
Product Ownership
Understanding user needs, workflows, acceptance criteria and prioritisation.
Functional Testing
Following complete scenarios and documenting clear, reproducible findings.
Release & Quality
Assessing risk, consistency and the confidence needed before a release.
Dorian’s principles
How I review products
Dorian
Clarity before polish
A beautiful interface is not enough if users do not understand the next action.
Complete flows before isolated screens
I review the whole journey, including loading, errors, confirmations and recovery paths.
Priorities before volume
A useful review should help you decide what deserves attention first.
Transparent format preview

This illustrative demo shows the format and level of detail you receive. It is not a recording of a client review.

Before you share the URL
Clear scope. Honest boundaries.
Fresh Eyes is a functional and product review, not a security audit or automated QA tool.
What kinds of apps do you review?
Working web applications, SaaS products, dashboards, no-code apps and early MVPs. The standard review focuses on one desktop web workflow.
Is this a security or penetration test?
No. Fresh Eyes is a manual functional and product review. It does not replace a security audit, penetration test, automated QA suite, specialist accessibility audit or legal compliance review.
Do you only review design?
No. I review how the complete workflow behaves: clarity, navigation, functional consistency, loading, validation, errors, confirmations, recovery and next steps.
What access do you need?
The app URL, the target user, the workflow to review and a temporary test account if login is required. Never send a password through the public intake form.
How many workflows are included?
The standard €299 review includes one core workflow from first impression to the key result. Larger products are scoped separately before any work begins.
How does payment work?
No payment is taken when you submit the form. I first check that the request fits the standard review, then send the confirmation and a secure card-payment link by email. Work starts after payment and receipt of the required access.
What do I receive?
A recorded walkthrough, annotated findings, a prioritized action plan and a concise review summary, delivered within five working days.
Can you review an app that is already live?
Yes. A live app can be reviewed with a safe test account and clear instructions about any actions or data that must be avoided.
What if the app is too large for the standard review?
I will identify the boundary before starting and propose a focused workflow or a separately scoped review. The standard offer is never treated as unlimited.
Do you fix the issues yourself?
The standard service covers review and recommendations, not implementation. The findings are written to help you or your developer act on them.
Is the review performed personally by Dorian?
Yes. I personally explore the workflow, record the walkthrough, analyse the findings and set the priorities. The review is not outsourced or generated by an automated scoring platform.
